Dr. Dilip Agnihotri
There are many reasons for winning an election. All this happens naturally in a democracy. The structure of the BJP organization has been strong in this regard. He has also been getting the benefit of this in many elections. Not only this, even after defeat, BJP is able to maintain its ideological base. Even when the BJP had only two members in the Lok Sabha, its ideological importance did not diminish. Till a few years back, it was the number three party in Uttar Pradesh. Nevertheless, he maintained the focus on booth level management. In the just-held Panchayat elections, the BJP got its benefit. During the Panchayat elections, riots and chaos were witnessed at many places. For this the culprits should be identified. But no one party can be held responsible for this. Because many groups are involved in it. But it would not be correct to say that this has largely affected the election results. In fact, the ruling party also got the benefit of the equations of elections. BSP had boycotted this district panchayat president and block chief election. BJP has also got direct benefit of this. BSP chief Mayawati had said sometime back that her party would do anything to stop the SP. The effect of his statement was visible in these elections. However, this time the BSP had boycotted the elections due to its weak position. He knew that the main contest was between the SP and the BJP. Five years ago, when the BSP used to be in the main contest, it had boycotted these elections too. At that time there was a SP government. Mayawati said that fair elections are not possible in the SP government. The members of BSP who were elected this time also had resentment towards SP. The SP high command could not assess the situation. The ruling party also got the support of a large number of independents. The SP chief has also taken action against many office bearers of his party. A statement of Chhibramau MLA Archana Pandey of Kannauj is noteworthy. He said that the dream of many years has come true. BJP’s lotus is adorned on both the blocks of the assembly constituency. There was a twinge in my mind. Years ago, during the election of the Block Pramukh, the anarchists of the Samajwadi Party snatched the nomination papers from the hands of his father Ram Prakash Tripathi in Talgram block and tore them. Tried to attack them. At that time, seeing the sad face of her father, she had vowed that when the time came, she would complete the account. Today that work was completed due to the tireless efforts of all the workers. These were the immediate reasons for the success of the BJP. Apart from this, the work done by the present government in the rural areas in the last four and a half years also influenced the voters of these elections. It also includes the issues of three agricultural laws, Kisan Samman Nidhi, availability of urea, rural poor housing, construction of toilets, smooth supply of electricity, record purchase of farmers’ produce in the agricultural market. Apart from this, immediately after assuming power, the present government had waived most of the loans of the farmers. The present government made the maximum payment of sugarcane farmers. 100% payment was ensured in the accounts of farmers. They got freedom from the system of middlemen. All this also had an impact in the election. In such a situation, it is natural for the BJP to be excited. Yogi Adityanath said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made villages the center of development, whose outline has been prepared. He said that the government has taken the development schemes to every section of the society without any discrimination. The effect of the government’s work is visible in the election of village head, district panchayat president and block head. He has credited the BJP’s big victory in the three-tier panchayat elections to the hard work of the workers and the welfare policies of the government. The BJP’s victory in the three-tier panchayat elections is actually the result of teamwork. Like the election of village head and district panchayat president, BJP is registering a big victory in the election of area panchayat head. According to the trends found so far, BJP is getting victory by six hundred and thirty five out of total eight hundred and twenty five seats. This number may increase further. The party had fielded its candidates on seven hundred and thirty five seats while its ally Apna Dal SK was in the fray in fourteen seats. Apart from this, there were seventy-six seats where there was a friendly war between two BJP candidates. The Panchayat members have elected eight hundred and twenty five block heads. It was a huge electoral process which was done by the government with transparency.
He said that earlier in the seventy-five seats of district panchayat presidents, BJP’s seventy-three and two Apna Dal S candidates were in the fray, in which BJP’s Chhachhath and one Apna Dal S candidate were victorious. The victory in the Panchayat elections shows that the people have unwavering faith in the policies of the BJP government. State President Swatantra Dev Singh expressed his gratitude to the people for blessing the BJP supported candidates in the three-tier panchayat elections. Said that this victory is the result of the welfare schemes of Modi government and Yogi government. These results will give a new impetus to the development of the state. There is no doubt that the present governments of the Center and the state have done unprecedented work for rural development. Many schemes are also being implemented for the welfare of farmers. Farmers have been provided with options through three agricultural laws. Farmers are also getting their benefits. Since the report of the Fourteenth Finance Commission, the budget of Gram Panchayats has increased. Many reforms have taken place in Kshetra Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat. Yogi Adityanath said that the present state government is making continuous efforts to strengthen the rural economy through various schemes and programs besides directly helping the village, poor and farmer. Purchase of about thirty six lakh metric tonnes of wheat at the minimum support price. of. More than sixty six lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured. More than eleven thousand crore rupees have been paid to the farmers.
About two hundred crore rupees have been paid by the state government to the farmers by purchasing maize. Two crore forty two lakh farmers of the state have been benefited under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. For this the state has also received the first prize from the Government of India. Forty lakh houses have been provided in urban and rural areas of the state. More than 2.5 crore farmers were benefitted from the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The Chief Minister said that the State Election Commission has made a commendable contribution in conducting elections in a peaceful and fair manner in such a vast socially diverse state. Everyone participated in the election. About nine and a half lakh people will join this system of democracy and take forward this process of development as per the intention of the central and state government.
