A total of 4,31,904 candidates had submitted applications for their exam in 1089 centers in the state, out of which about 3,57,064 candidates appeared in the examination, resulting in attendance of about 82.67 percent. Several of these candidates were visually challenged, who as per rules were also provided dictators and given extra time at the examination center.
At various centers, certain candidates were found whose body temperature was above normal and they were made to sit in isolated rooms during the examination. Keeping in mind the security of all candidates, room-inspectors and nodal officers in view of the changed circumstances due to Covid-19. all the protocols and instructions for safety were strictly followed. There were CCTVs at each examination center and proper arrangements were made for cameras, routers etc. The examination being conducted at all centers of the entire state was closely monitored with the help of the Command Control Room set up at University of Lucknow. No untoward incident has been reported at any examination center.
An unsuccessful attempt was made by a female candidate at the Meerut center to appear in the examination with the help of a fake admit card. The concerned local authorities sent this information to University of Lucknow. This entry was found to be fake when the data available with the University was checked immediately. Hereby I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the candidates, their parents, all the officers of Uttar Pradesh Government and all the District Administration of the entire state, all the officers / employees engaged in the examination work, whose invaluable support, enthusiasm and positive attitude is what made the successful conduct of prestigious examination possible.
