In a series of student centric innovations by the Institute of Tourism Studies at the University of Lucknow, ITS launched a video magazine and a coffee table book today in the Committee Hall of the Vice Chancellor’s office. Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Alok Kumar Rai inaugurated the Coffee Table book and Tourecdotes: ITS’s virtual magazine depicting a heritage walk through the University of Lucknow. He appreciated the efforts of the Institute in placing several of its students in online internships in companies across the state even during these difficult times. He commended the brilliant depiction of the University’s beauty in the video magazine as well as the coffee table book.

Coordinator of ITS, Dr. Anupama Shrivastava introduced the concepts behind these two initiatives and said that during these difficult times, we must not forget that our minds are the best tourists that do not need a ticket or a passport to travel. Dr. Shrivastava also announced that the Institute is conferring its first ever ‘Tourism Ambassador Award’ to Hon’ble Tourism Minister of Uttar Pradesh Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari. The event was attended by Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Padma Shri Prof. Brijesh Shukla, Dean Commerce, Dean Science and Education, Dean Fine Arts, Dean of Students’ Welfare Prof. Poonam Tandon, Registrar, Finance Officer among several teachers, students and administrative officers of the University.
