On the eve of Mahtma Gandhi and Lal Bahadhur Shastri Jayanti, National Service Scheme units of Vidyant Hindu PG College organized a Seminar under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The programme was chaired by the vice-principal of the college Dr Rajiv Shukla. The programme was conducted by Dr DK Tripahti. Welcome speech was delivered by Dr Usha. The teachers of the college paid floral tribute to both Gandhi ji and Shashtri ji
The key note speakers in the programme were Dr Brijdendra Pandey and Dr Narendra Singh. Dr Brijendra Pandey explained in detail about the life and philosophy of the Mahtma Gandhi. Dr Narendra Singh thrown light on the life and contributions of Lal Bahadur Shastri. Dr Ramesh Yadav led the spectators to sing the favourite song of Bapu. Students like Mandira Mishra, Saniya Siddiqui, Menka Rawat, Ruchi Sonkar etc also put forward their views about them. Students like Shivam Yadav, Kiran Guatam, Ishant Sinha, Mushkan Bahelia etc presented a skit on Mahatma Gandhi’s Swadeshi Andolan and boycott of English goods.
Teachers like Dr Amit Vardhan, Dr Alok Bhardwaj, Dr DK Srivastava, Dr Brijesh Srivastava, Dr Arshi Parveen, Dr Prabha Gautam, Dr Savitri Taragi, Dr Manish Srivastava, Dr Sharvan Gupta, Dr Hanif, Dr Shahadat, Dr Jitendra Kumar Pal, Dr Sanjay Yadav, Dr Shantanu, Dr Raju Kashyap, Dr Gitesh etc were present in the programme. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks of NSS programme officer Dr BB Yadav.
