Governor Anandiben Patel considers education and responsibility towards society as complementary. In its absence, there is a situation of incompleteness in education and educational institutions. Education cannot be the only means of self-interest and livelihood. It should also be linked to social concerns. Educational institutions should also fulfill this responsibility seriously. It has dual benefits. One, the needy gets help in the society, secondly, the culture of social concerns is developed in the students.

Vaccination Camp

The responsibility of medical institutions has also increased during the current corona crisis. Anandi Ben said that the doctors of the medical institute should sensitize the members of the monitoring committee to deal with the corona epidemic. Keeping in view the third wave of corona, it is necessary to motivate people on how to use kits, sanitizers and masks. Along with this, put up a camp of the relatives of the patients coming to the institute and apply the vaccine.

The Governor said that the institutions should do the work of adopting the children orphaned due to Kovid. Arrange for their proper care so that those children can also get a family environment and their education is also not interrupted. He said that along with this, the institutes should prepare the provisions of the new education policy and implement them at the earliest. Anandiben Patel held an online review meeting of Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow from Raj Bhavan.

transparent system

He said that transparency in appointment through recruitment to various educational posts and uniform selection process prescribed by the government should be adopted and the entire selection process should be clearly mentioned in the advertisement and it should also be uploaded on the website. There was also a detailed discussion on the arrangement for purchasing medical equipment and medicines. During this, he directed that the medical equipment and medicines to be purchased should be purchased from authorized institutions only. He said that along with reviewing the disputes of the institute which are pending in the court, necessary steps should be taken to settle them.

women empowerment

The Governor said that the women’s upliftment centers operating in the institute should not remain as mere formal centres, but by forming women and girl groups, the institute should motivate them for education, self-reliance and eradication of social evils. Similarly, by calling newly elected village heads, the institute should give information about health, malnutrition, patients suffering from tuberculosis, 100 percent hospital delivery of pregnant women, widow pension, old age pension, welfare schemes run by the state and central government.
